No you will not find Sparx Helmets for sale in Kathmandu. You do get it in India though but it will be expensive there and will be better to get from western markets if you have anybody coming back home that is if you are really serious to buy one. Sparx Helmets probably start at around $130 and can get higher. It could be one of the cheapest around considering international helmet brands where brands like Arai, Shoei and AGV starts at $400. The best I have seen till date in Nepal, for sale is a Motocross Marushin Helmet. That costs around Rs.12,000....

By the way from where did you hear about Sparx Helmets. Bike India?? If thats it then look around in the net and then you will be amazed to find lot better ones.....

Thanks guys. I did already know the website on sparx. My friends abroad suggested me about that. They were saying that it was much cheaper and stylish than any other recognised brand. I asked them to bring that but luguage size was big so they couldn't.

Actually, I thought about painting it in e3 but the helmet won't be as durable and safe as those brands, will they?

By Marushin in the market I mean there is a single piece available at Kantipath and a shop in Jamal. Its a motocross helmet with a visor...Its costs Rs.12000.  I don't think other helmets are available.

This is the helmet thats available at Jamal and Kantipath.

Well talking about safety it depends which helmet you give them to paint. So E3 is not concerned with the safety measure of the helmet. They don't make helmets, they paint on those given to them. But yes talking about durability of the paint I believe they do last longer but not like the company ones. You will have to be more careful. About designs it will not be equivalent to recognized brands but the best part is you can have your own custom design on the helmet and the quality is good enough. So you can live with it.

Cmon bro, if E3 made helmets as durable and as safe as those brands why would they be in the local market? Would have gone international long time back...

That's why looking up for those branded helmets. Expected Budget in and around NRs. 8000. Smiley

Ok got ya. Well the helmets available here in Nepal like Index, Yohe, Aaron, Snell are DOT standard certified and are durable enough considering the speeds the indian bikes can manage...

Well if you are really serious about a branded helmet I recommend you look into this site if you have anybody from US coming in. They sell motorcycling gears at as low as 80% discount. Here's the site...

Its not worth buying expensive brand helmets here in Nepal or asking shops to import it for you. They are charged way too high.

Thanks bro.. my sis is coming but only next year. Sad so I guess I will have to wait for a year. I also went to Biker Boyz (Jamal) but they told me that it would cost me a fortune(in and around NRs. 20,000) he he he.

Currently using this helmet from Aaron. But I found that the inner is not so good and gets dirty very soon.
